Ask an answerable question (PICO):
Migraine is a common neurological disease in general outpatient clinics. In severe cases, it may even be accompanied by symptoms such as nausea, photophobia, sensitivity to sound and light, and visual impairment, which will reduce the quality of life. The author often seeks help from family medicine or neurology clinics for recurrent migraine patients in clinical practice, and found in the literature that vitamin B2 (riboflavin) can effectively prevent migraine, which sparked the motivation for discussion. Hope to use empirical evidence to explore whether taking vitamin B2 can effectively prevent paroxysmal migraine in adults?

The Method and Analysis of Literature Review:
This paper establishes clinical problems, sets keywords according to PICO, and uses strategies such as Bollinger logic and limited fields to search Chinese and English databases such as Cochrane Library, PubMed, Embase, Clinicalkey, and Huayi Online Library. The inclusion conditions are as follows: The research type is set as randomized controlled experiment, systematic literature review and meta-analysis, including adults over 18 years old suffering from paroxysmal migraine, taking vitamin B2 as the intervention program, and the effectiveness measurement indicators are effectively reducing the frequency of migraine, Duration and severity, a total of 2 systematic literature review articles were included in the review.
Critical Appraisal:
According to the type of article, the quality of the literature was evaluated according to the "Oxford CEBM Critical Appraisal Worksheets-SR", and the level of evidence was evaluated according to OCEBM (2011), Chen et al .(2022) systematic literature review and meta-analysis was rated as Level 1; Thompson & Saluja (2017) systematic literature review was rated as Level 2.
Results, Conclusions and Recommendations:
This article aims to discuss the effect of taking vitamin B2 for episodic migraine in adults. According to the results of empirical literature review, taking 400 mg of vitamin B2 (riboflavin) daily for 3 months can effectively prevent migraine. Vitamin B2 is a health food, easy to buy and cheap, safe to eat, less side effects and high patient acceptance, it is a clinically feasible solution.
